After coming back from IELTS course tonight, I was really exhausted. In fact, I was in hustle and bustle today. I repaired the hell faucet and worked on my essay in the morning. Then, fixed my computer to show subtitles in windows media player when watching DVD like "Friends", but sorrowly ... failed. Q.Q However, I was a little bit relieved in my happy lunch time to enjoy my instant noodles. Of course, things wouldn't go as smooth as you hoped. Later, the lecture whose topic is mainly about electronic industrial development in Taiwan almost took all of my mind away from my body. The classwork asked me to write down the summary and my opinions. Oh my suzumiya ( God in one of the funny japnese novel ) T.T. It was absolutely impossible for me to write both of them at once. How can a people write using two pens and think for different words at the same time? If you could do it, please teach me, I will show my maximum appreciation. After the busy class ( for my hand and brain ), I have to handle the purchase of Master enrollment procedure. This told me that troubles wouldn't come if it was lonely, you know, they love group activities. Anyway, I still got some gains which I would write them tomorrow. Apologize for my delay. It's 0200 now, and I have classes at 0800 and homework ( describe the audience who read my article ) to do.
ps. I have thought some flash ideas about comparison between the conventional cameras and digital ones, and I'd like to compose them on Sunday after returning to Tainan. Please remind me.

Unlucky day = =
The faucet in our aparment broke down this morning when I took a towel and dipped it wet to clean my body. Very weirdly, the tap ( faucet in British English) could not be turned off completely, and it kept running water out. Horrible, wasn't it? Anyway, after a long struggle for it, My roommates and I finally tied the tap firm so that it wouldn't leak out anymore. I wish everyone would run into it. Another unpleasant thing was that my ipod and itune had a fight three days ago. My itune could not recognize my ipod and be unable to renew contents in my ipod. Fortunately, after I reinstall my itune, they repair again, and I can listen to BBC newspodcast again.
03102006 ADVANCE ENGLISH WRITING CLASS

I have enrolled two courses held by NCKU foreign center, and I come to one of them - Advance Englsih Writing Class. The teacher named Dustin is really nice, humorous, and young. Don't be confused, it's another Dustin :D, not my high school english teacher, but this Dustin also teach in high schools in Tainan. Well, let's enter the main topics of my post.What I got today can be briefly introduced by two words - purpose and audience. They are two things that you must consider before your writing. What's your pupose for your writing? To express yourself? To finish a homework or pass a test? To teach knowledge or persuade someone? Anyway, these have one thing in common - To do something to your reader. Thus, you have to estimate how good your articles or essays are. If you write only for express yourself, you don't have to write it too well because it is not difficult. In contrast, if you want to convince someone or change his mind. You really have to write hard due to its people's stiffness to their own value system. Then, you have to evaluate the background of your audience. You can't write a very technological scientific eassy for kids. In other words, you have to adjust the way you write according to your audience. For example, J.K.Rowling wouldn't write Harry Potter in the way like a criminal novel. She writes for children who are able to read, have imagination and interested in the world full of magic. However, in my opinion, for a eassy, I think some Ws is a good index to exam the audience. What do they want to know and expect? Which part do they read most and feel difficult? Why do they read it? ps. I will post my homework - Audience Statement after having done something on it.
